Principal's Bio

Welcome to Castlen's website.  I am Pam Adams, principal.  I received a B.S in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama.  I received a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and another in Early Childhood Education with a reading concentration from the University of South Alabama, as well.  I taught kindergarten through third grade for 17 years at Maryvale Elementary School in Mobile.  I served as an administrator at Semmes Elementary and Woodcock Elementary before moving to Castlen. 

This is my eleventh year in Grand Bay, Alabama.  I have grown to feel a part of this great community.  I am proud of the role this school plays in the community.  My goal is to bring education to life for our students so they will understand their futures depend on the journey they take through Castlen, Grand Bay Middle, and Bryant High Schools. I look forward to the day I see each and every one of my Castlen Cubs receive their diplomas.  The high school diploma is like a portal - once it is cleared - choices and opportunities for employment and higher education will be unlimited.  Their first and most important steps start here on Schoolhouse Road.  I pray we do everything possible to develop in every child a strong love for learning that will give them the will and determination to reach their potential.
